Game of the Week

No. 6 Santa Margarita (California) vs. No. 8 Corona Centennial (California), Friday

Last year, Santa Margarita beat the Huskies on the way to the California Open Division state championship. It was CC’s only two losses in 2025.

Santa Margarita opened with 27-0 shutout of Jones (Orlando, Florida) with junior Fletch Palmer getting his first start at quarterback. He’s the son of head coach Carson Palmer, the longtime NFL QB and former Heisman Trophy winner.

Corona Centennial is lead by senior quarterback Jaden Jefferson, a Hawaii-commit.

#2 Game

No. 22 DeSoto (Texas) at No. 2 St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida), Saturday

St. Thomas Aquinas is now in position to win a second straight High School Football America national championship. The reigning national champs opened with a 42-0 shutout of Western (Davie, Florida) to move to No. 2 in the HSFA 300. The will be the season opener for DeSoto, which won the Texas 6A Division II title last year.
