Trinity League Titans Clash

St. John Bosco narrowly escaped with a 14-0 victory over a resilient Santa Margarita squad. The defensive struggle remained scoreless until the fourth quarter when Hunter-Aidan Cox broke the deadlock with a blocked punt recovered for a touchdown. Malau’ulu sealed the win with a 28-yard touchdown run, showcasing the Braves’ ability to overcome adversity. Mater Dei reasserted their  dominance with a commanding 42-14 win over Servite. Quarterback Dash Beierly put on a clinic, completing 19 of 22 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns. His pinpoint accuracy, combined with the Monarchs’ impenetrable offensive line, proved too much for the Friars to handle. Kayden Dixon-Wyatt was Beierly’s favorite target, hauling in five catches for 113 yards, including a spectacular one-handed touchdown grab. In a crucial matchup, Orange Lutheran kept their playoff hopes alive with a hard-fought 23-17 victory over JSerra. This win demonstrates the depth of talent in the league and sets up an intriguing playoff race as the season progresses.

Anthony League

The biggest shock of the night came from the Moore League, where Millikan toppled Long Beach Poly in a 53-40 thriller. Anthony League was the star of the show, rushing for an astounding 258 yards and 4 touchdowns on 27 carries. This upset victory snapped Poly’s incredible 15-year Moore League winning streak, sending shockwaves through the Southern Section.

Offensive Fireworks Outside the Trinity

In the Marmonte League, Simi Valley’s Tagg Harrison torched Camarillo’s defense, throwing for 313 yards and 4 touchdowns in a lopsided 56-7 victory. Newbury Park’s Brady Smigiel also had a night to remember against Calabasas, going 10-for-15 for 247 yards and 4 touchdowns through the air, while adding a rushing touchdown in a convincing 48-20 win.
